RNasin ribonuclease inhibitor is a 50 kDa placental protein obtained from recombinant. Escherichia Coli cells. The reagent, by non-covalent binding (1: 1), inhibits the ribonuclease activity of eukaryotic enzymes (RNase A, RNase B, RNase C), allowing you to work with RNA without risk of damage. Does not show activity against RNase 1, RNase T1, RNase T2, nuclease S1 and RNase H. One unit of RNasin activity corresponds to the amount of enzyme required to inhibit the activity of 5 nanograms of ribonuclease A by 50% in the hydrolysis reaction of cytidine 2 ‘,3’-cyclomonophosphate.
